After watching the videos as a class, explain how the following crystals are formed:

Type
Explanation
Salt
One of the ways that salt is found is by our OCEAN.  We put the salty water into ponds and heat it up.  When water is heated it starts to evaporate.  Then leaves the salt crystals.

Sugar
Sugar is made by sugar cane.  The chop the bottom then the sugar cane regrows it is a renewable resource.  It is then sliced and put in a machine to rip in shreds.  Then gets put in a whole more machine then makes it nice and crystallized.
Snowflakes
Snowflakes are created by tornados that take up h2o.  Then the water is frosted in the clouds.  It then falls and therefore making snowflakes.
