Stop motion

For art, we are going to be making stop motions.  This is a great way to express feelings or anything else.  I am going to be talking to you about the different factors that we need

Who is in my group?
In my group, we have Ryan, Regan, Nikora and finally myself

Who has what role?
We have different roles such as Photographer, Drawer and many more I am the drawer

What does my Manakitanga do with my stop motion?
We are showing the power of sharing and kindness

As you can see my mindmup is not finished but I am doing as much as possible:

D.T.E Reflection

If you have been keeping up with my blog that means that you know about my D.T.E  I have been working on my D.L.O(Digital Learning Project).  This was what I have been working on and I have finally finished writing my story, it is about robots.

My issue was Robots are gaining intelligence This is it: The Story  A snippet of the story
So imagined you are in the year 2031, everything is computerised and there are lots of different types of gadgets available.  You can easily purchase any gadget for almost anything. Even the house has its artificial intelligence computer to operate everything in the house.

After I did all this work I was happy and proud of it.  The amount of work that I did was amazing.  I was happy but exhausted with it.  The good thing was that I learnt how to work at a good consistent rate.  I have also learnt a lot about Robots and where the most intelligent robot is. (Japan)

 I got my knowledge from:
1. Live Science
2. Youtube
3. Live Science
4. Deliberatemagazine
5. Sify
6. Telegraph

My question to you today is: Do you think that robots will take over the world? and why?  I would like to know what YOU know about robots and it may create a spark of robotics in your life.

Robots taking over?

In the year 1956, George Devol invented the first-ever programmable robot, that began a new era where robots are also taking over different types of jobs. From then on they have created new and improved versions. They made different types such as; cartesian, SCARA, cylindrical, delta, polar and vertically articulated. There is a high possibility that they will create more kinds of robots. I have made a miniature story of what might happen if we don't make a difference now.

So imagined you are in the year 2031, everything is computerised and there are lots of different types of gadgets available.  You can easily purchase any gadget for almost anything. Even the house has its artificial intelligence computer to operate everything in the house.

Then while playing ps5 pro somehow a picture pops up on your screen saying "do not have any contact with Artifical Intelligence." The first thought was 'this must be some prank'. You then take a look outside, people were jumping onto there hoverboards, hoverbikes, hoverboat and portals. Then out of the blue, I heard a "Finished Sight-seeing..."

I then turned around and found that it was standing right behind me. A tall figure, no emotion, you could see the determination of its eyes, it looked murderous and ready to live or to die. Me on the other hand bulk and had always been into combat sports. This was a moment when I was in true fear. This means that I saw this as a life and death situation.

While all these things were coming into my head he said: "So when are you making your move." I replied with "Umm actually I just gonna..." I ran as fast as I could it was right behind me. I ran for awhile hoping to getaway. I was exhausted when I managed to escape, I put my hand into my pocket hoping that I will get a muesli bar or any old lunch.   Luckily I got some chips and 3 spectros (Money) that was a close call.

So your name is Akuchi, you are a hard worker and you get paid a reasonable amount of money, you buy food and you live life with hard work and good pay. Life is amazing, phone companies are not trying to make the flashiest tech, they are trying to make the slimmest and strongest phones(with some new accessories). Only some robots are taking over jobs.

My Reflection on P.E

As you may know, I have been working on P.E  In hurumanu, we did the Football field maintenance challenge.  This means that I have gone through some challenges at the start.  One of the challenges was how to find the answer, once I mastered that technique I became a very good person at the "Challenge."

I think next time I would like to choose what kind of field we do our checking on.  Like Rugby, Baseball, Cricket and maybe Hockey.  That would be amazing but other than that Grass maintenance.

What I mainly enjoyed was the physical side of P.E we played many games but my favourite game was Dodgeball.  It was my favourite because of the competition I was up against.  I was going against athletes such as Nikora, Blake, Ryan, Paea and Aisa.

The game also let me become very good at my skills such as Passing, Throwing, Running, Communicating and much more.

P.E was so fun this year I hope to do it again the exact same because it was easy.  Bye and have a gret day.

Gym Sports

In Gym Sports we played Capture The Flag.  The objective was to get the ball from one side of the field to the other without getting tagged.  Of course, we had a halfway that was the line between  Bibs and Non Bibs.   My team unfortunately lost due to some players in the other team cheating.  But still it fair win.

It was quite hard for me because I was such a big target.  That was one of the things that let me down this game.  The other one was being known for being "Sporty" so most of my mates would always guard me, they would not let me out of there sight which made it even harder.

Although my team didn't win we had a great time and that means that we will be prepared for the next time we go up against them.

The game that I hope we play next time is Ball rush or Octopus for fun.  This will help everyone with there fitness.  It will also help me too.  I hope that I will become a better sports player.

What we did:
  • Tapu Ae
For Tapu Ae, we did a lot of communicating and it was a good time for team work.  We came up with new strategies for us to hit the cones.
  • Fitness Testing
In the sit and reach test, we have to sit down with no shoes and reach out and push the piece of wood as far as we can while we are keeping our leg straight.  This was hard for me for I had very long legs.

In the abdominal conditioning test, we had to do as many sit-ups as we can in 30 seconds.  I did 21, it was very hard but I still tried my hardest.

In the grip strength, it was easy at the start but as you keep going it will be harder.  I did 45 squeezes in 30 seconds. It was an alright attempt but I still thank that I can do way better.

Finally, in the beep test, we ran a lot and I got a whopping 8.5 and in my last test I got 7.1  This was an amazing experience to challenge myself in running.
  • Bench ball
In bench ball, we did a lot of passing.  I kept on hitting the ball from the people who are trying to catch it for fun.  That means my team had a lot of communication because we never lose.
  • Multi-Sport
Multisport all that we did was play four sports in one game which was fun.
  • Dodgeball
Dodgeball was great for your reflexes.  I enjoyed it because I created a competition with my friends.
  • Crash Pad Cricket
This was a fun game because I had the chance to hit the ball as fast as I could and run from place to place.
  • Hurumanu Maintenance challenge
The challenge was also a great thing because it was not too hard but not too easy.  The skill that was used the most was being able to find the answer.
  • Blogging
Blogging was easy and simple because all we did was rewrite what we have done in P.E So we can share it with the world
What I learned:
  • To talk with the team
  • Come up with new solutions
  • How to target
  • Communicate
  • Maths
  • Passing
  • Working with a team
What I enjoyed:
I enjoyed P.E overall because of the running and doing physical stuff.  Also, the maths was easy because the answers were aldready there, all we had to do was find it.  We also learnt how to do Circumference, Perimeter and what Pi is(3.14). I had a superb time I hope to do P.E the exact same or like the one I just did.   If I could change something that would be to change how long I did it for.
What I found difficult:
The only thing that I found difficult in my opinion was the beep test.

What is beep test?

On Tuesday for P.E, Sh and Ds did the beep test.  The beep test is to test our fitness.  We ran back and forth in a limited time.  The length that we had to run was 20 meters.  As the beeps went on it gave us less time to run.

For me personally, I think that we should have a person that we really wanna beat and strife to beat him.  For me, that person was Nikora although he fitness levels were way better than mine I still tried to beat him.  His score was 9.5 and mine was 8.7.  All I want to say is that the beep test may sound easy but it is actually very difficult.

In conclusion, if you ever do the beep test just try your hardest and you will be just fine.  The beep test was hard but if you worry about yourself you will be algood.

Fitness testing!!!

At the start of this hurumanu, we did fitness, we did all kinds of tests: Sit and Reach, abdominal conditioning test, grip strength and lastly beep test.  These all test our fitness skills.  The hardest one for me has to be the beep test.  In my other post, I talked a lot about it.

In conclusion, all I have to say was doing fitness is fun for me but not fun if you do not challenge yourself.  So I encourage you to do as much as you can and have a great day.
