 1. We have learnt about the Ukelele, Piano, Guitar.

2.

The one that I enjoyed the most is the piano.  That is because it is simple and very easy to learn.

3.

Guitar because I was struggling to play the right chords.

4.

I am going to focus on the piano and learn funny and entertaining music to play.  I wanna be able to play at least one minute of my favourite instruments.

Language of film

 Film Language

What am I learning?

I am learning to identify the different language used in the creation explaining to you what terms are used in film making.  For example Body Language, Make-up, Colour, Lighting, and so on...  This will basically be a dictionary specifically for the art of film.

Body Language: Used to identify characters feelings

Costumes: Used to create a character’s personality

Hairstyles: Just like costumes it brings out a character’s personality

Make-Up: Used to change the look and bring out a personality of a

set character

Colour: Used to set the mood of a set Red could mean angry and

Blue could mean Sad

Lighting: Also used to set a mood and makes something important

stand out more than

other things

Props: Things used in scenes to make it more interactive

Setting: Used often to continue stories or describe surroundings

Dialogue: To increase the plot or share something new about

a character

Sound Effects: Used to create a mood so the audience can sympathize

Music: It is used to set a mood for the scene

Silence: Used to make it scene more serious or scary in a way

Symbols: A object used to represent an idea

Special Effects: Used to make the film look more people realistic

How does this work show my learning?

It represents my version and how I understand the language of which directors/filmmakers use.  This is an easier explanation.

What am I wondering about the result of my learning?

Hands

How does your hand works and what are the parts?

Bones:

There are 27 bones in your hand:
1. 8 bones in your wrist
2. 5 bones in your palms
3. 13 bones for your fingers and thumb(3 in each finger)

Tendons

What is a tendon? A tendon is a band of connective tissue that connects the muscles of the forearm bone to the phalanges which let your fingers move up and down.  This means that there are long strips of tendons that start at the tip of your finger and go all the way down to the muscle in your forearm. So your fingers only move when your finger muscle tenses.

Muscles

The muscles in your hand are Thumb Muscles, Palmar Muscles, and Little Finger Muscles.  But the main muscles that you use to move your fingers are the ones in your forearm that are called Flexor Digitorum Profundus.  This muscle is what they mainly use to control the tendons.  It does this by contracting and relaxing.  That is what makes your fingers move.

Ligaments

The Ligements in your hand make sure that your hands are moving the right way.  Like your fingers, it can only move back and forth.  It cannot move side to side, that is what our ligaments are for.  Otherwise, our fingers will be moving like jelly.

The Guitar

What is challenging for me to play the guitar?

It is hard for me to play because I can't move from one chord to another.

What is the difference between guitar and ukelele?

The number of strings is different.  Also the sound it quite different as well that is why you need to play the instrument properly.

Which one is better/easier for you to play?

The ukelele because its smaller.
