The massive comeback...

This week I have been working hard in the workshop. I was working on my teachers Koru but then I helped a friend called Ricci.  He was carving a Manaia I then helped him and we then created something amazing.  That means that it has all been worth it because I may be a professional stone if I use my brain.

The major muck up

At carving a today I worked on my stone but then I mucked up.  I was then frustrated, but then Miss Birtch( My teacher) gave me hers to work on but so now I have fixed it up.  

I am currently working on Miss Birtch work.  Now I have been upgrading and it as much as possible.

I think that this will be fun and hopefully I do not break it.  Have a great day and God bless.

The big piece

Today I have been drawing my big sketch about creating a huge piece.  We have drawn an eye talking about what we see when we enter the school grounds.  We added detail like we see everyone is accepted.  You may also see students committed to there work and them being respectful to teachers or other students older than them.

I think that this will be hard because we are not that great at Oamaru stone carvings.  I hope that this will be a fun activity we may learn heaps. Bye.

Stone carving fun

Today we were working in the workshop.  We used a new tool that is so efficient to making your stone carving smooth.  It is really easy as well it is like you using a cloth to clean the car but the cloth is rough.  My sphere is almost completed all than I need to do is use the white sandpaper.  Here are some photos of the tools we used:

I think that the hardest part of making stone carving is when you use the cheese grater, because it is hard for me to shape it but it is a learning moment so it is great.

My Passion Project

This Term I have been working on a passion project (Stone Carving). I have been trying to make a Koru but, I always try I break it.  I have also been planning what I am going to make for my Oamaru Stone Carving.  I drew a Moari fish hook with some islander designs in it.  It is awesome that I am working on stone carving but it is surprisingly hard. Here is some of my planning (Unfinished).

I think that I am going to have a blast at stone carving.  It is sometimes frustrating that because it takes a long time to finish but I know at the end it will work out. :)

Believing in yourself

This week we have been learning about converting decimals into percentages.  At first, I thought that this is going to be the hardest lesson to learn.  I thought that because I did not believe in myself.  I remember what my dad told me at the start of the week about perseverance before he left so I kept trying and I got it.  It feels as easy as pressing digits on a calculator.  Now I consider myself a pro at these. There are some many steps like moving the decimal point.  But in the end, I had learnt something so I would just like to say is keep trying. In order to get the easy part, you have to so the hard part first.

Probability

Probability is the topic for this term in maths.  We are looking at probability.  Probability is when you of a chance of doing something. e.g What is the chance of me giving you my money. Not possible,  maybe, possible and definite.  These symbolize what probability means. (A little)

This new maths topic is simple and hard at the same time.  That is why I think that this topic is going to be great.

Market day

My company was Boom Boom Pop Shot and we were doing a carnival game.  You had to pop balloons to win prizes.  Today my favorite part was when a cool guy made some funny jokes before paying us.  I liked how one of the groups had been letting people play fortnite while in SCHOOL GROUNDS. If I did it again I would probably bring way more money to spend.

Hello viewers, today I am going to be talking to you about my progress this term about Business and enterprise.  This term we have been working on creating our own market.  We have been planning our business for a very long time.  I am making my market around carnival games,  my carnival game is called Boom Boom Pop Shot.  This is where you pop balloons using darts and when amazing prizes.  Come down and pop balloons for only $1.50. 

Three steps into the virtual gaming world

I was walking down a street to school when I saw what I thought was a shortcut.  I then walked towards the shortcut though I thought. I then accidentally walked three steps into the portal to another dimension or galaxy.

The area found me on the ground thinking I got pounded in the head by a meteorite.  I then stood up and looked around seeing an unimaginable wonderland I then said “This is a grandiose experience.” All that was travelling through my head was is a dream.  I was then picked up by a guy named “For_Da_Bradas_21.” He never said anything than he pulled me towards a bus…

We were then transported to an area high in the sky the bus had an hot air balloon at the top looking like it was going to explode.  My friend had very bright colors on his primary colors were Orange and Blue. He was darked skinned with a blue headband saying “SUP.”  He had a bright orange vest with with a lightning logo on it.

He then said the words briefly “Where we landing.”  I was puzzled as a monkey solving one plus one. He then said jump so I did he said that we were going to land at the corner of the globe.  So that is where I landed.

We then found futuristic weapon and items.  They were all shaded different colors. Grey, Green, Blue, Purple and Gold, I then thought that they all had a meaning.  We then found glowing treasure chests in the peak of many mountains. Which held some virtuous or terrible weapons or items. We were then walking around seeing no other life force suddenly… Bang!  I was shot but for some reason I didn’t feel injured. I just felt like I was going to die quickly. My friend(For_Da_Badas_21) then shot them with his AR (Assault Rifle) and killed them both with pure skill.  Me and my friend were rushed up on when we were trying to use my meds and we were then killed.

I then woke up at the place that I was knocked out wondering what happened then I rushed my way back to class never saying a word.
