For this activity, we had to tell you where we came from and in my case, I told you how my parents came to New Zealand from the islands. Here is my poster...
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.

Malo e lelei Atalasa!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Mikey. I work with Gabe on the Summer Learning Journey programme and I'll be commenting on some of your wonderful blog posts over the summer break. Congratulations on getting stuck into the Week 1 activities! I'm so glad that you've decided to take part in the programme.
This is an amazing post, Atalasa. I love how you've used a tapa cloth as the background image - it really makes your post stand out. Wow! That's so cool that your dad used to play league for Tonga! My family LOVES league so I grew up watching a lot of it. I still go to quite a few Warrior's games when they play here in Auckland. Do you play league too?
Have a lovely afternoon and keep up the great blogging! :)
Malo,
Mikey :)
Malo e lelei Mikey, Thank you again for commenting on my blog. Yes I do play League. I play for Hornby Panthers. I also got the opportunity to play for Canterbury (Christchurch). This made me feel good because I represented Christchurch and it felt like I was representing my family because of my last name.
DeleteThank you for commenting
Kia ora Lasa,
DeleteYou are more than welcome! I'm glad I was able to read it. :)
Wow, that's awesome! Congratulations! Your family must have been very proud of you. How many games did you play for Canterbury? What position do you play?
Have a great afternoon, Lasa. I hope to hear from you soon.
Mā te wā,
Mikey
